In The Glass Menagerie, Tennessee Williams describes the America of the early 1940s, the America of a huge disturbance, not unlike the one we are experiencing today through the digital revolution, which, as then, is also an economic one. Take a fresh look at the play by bypassing widely known cliches and prejudices about its meaning and form. Explore this American classic by applying action analysis and improvisation. Discover poetic power of physical actions. Play beyond predictable metaphors. Look at each scene and examine all choices that could be made when playing, staging, or auditioning. Work on The Glass Menagerie with director Zeljko Djukic and his unique approach.
To Submit: Actors must submit headshot and resumé to shawna@facilitytheatre.org
(selective enrollment at the discretion of instructor)
The class is limited to 12 students.
