A story about two estranged brothers with opposing views on how to confront this unstoppable change within the neighborhood they grew up in, while simultaneously addressing and yet deflecting from their own familial turmoil. To forgive a family member is one thing, but is reconciliation obtainable in any and all situations?

The Playwright

Jordan Gleaves is a Chicago-based actor, writer, and teaching artist. His regional performing credits stretch from The Nashville Shakespeare Festival to Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Closer to home collaborations include Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre, Collaboraction Theatre Company’s PEACEBOOK Festival, and Open Door Repertory Company. With a re-emerged will to write, it’s Jordan’s hope that readers and collaborators alike ride with him in storytelling that allow us all to reflect on and embrace matters like Family, Intimacy, and Speech. The brotha holds a BA in Drama from Morehouse College and a MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
